Washing the New House and Having a Window Cleaning
This new house looks a lot better than it did when we bought the place as a scrapheap last fall. We really have bonded over the work we have done as a family to fix it up. I can say that it really does feel more like my home after fixing it up all by ourselves too and I have a certain pride for it that I never had with the dinky little apartment room. We are almost done with the entire house but we are having a window cleaning done soon and we are getting the carpets shampooed as well as the window washing. The roof is still ripped up in some spots but we think that the company will finish that in time for the window cleaning to be done independently. The cost of the fix-up was much less than I thought it was going to be too and now our real estate agent says we can get much more than we bought the place for despite the horrible market. We are trying to decide if we should replace the windows totally or have a window cleaning however. I think a simple window washing will do the trick and I know it will cost much less so that is really the option I would like to go with. My wife does not seem to agree though so we might have totally new windows by next month.
