They Stole The Used Cisco Switch From The Repair Van
The twenty four ports used cisco switch that I had in the back of my cisco repair van was stolen last night. I have already called the cops to see if they would be willing to come out and prepare a police report so that I can turn it into my insurance company. I always lock the cisco repair van that is supplied to me from my employer because I live in a pretty rough neighborhood.
My own vehicles have been broken into many times but never my work van. I am wondering if the person who stole the port switch knew what it was. By itself, it does not look like much but a big black box. Now, if they knew what it was then they would know that it cost about two thousand dollars and they might be able to sell it for at least half of that.
This cisco repair job has got to be the best job that I have ever had, so I hope that I do not lose it over this incident. If they want me to start leaving my cisco repair van at the office then I will to save my job. It is very convenient though to not have to drive the twenty minutes to the office to pick it up every day.
